Code of Conduct and Friendly Space Policy

The present code of conduct aims to illustrate the minimum behavior requirements for participation in the public symposium “Aeropolitics. On contemporary forms of aerial power” to be held from August 28-30, 2025, at the Teatro dell’Architettura in Mendrisio and at the Eranos Foundation in Ascona. Its purpose is to create guidelines that ensure respect and mutual support among individuals, sanctioning, if necessary, aggressive, offensive, discriminatory behaviors, or those that threaten the physical or mental safety of individuals. In all public spaces, both physical and discussion-based, hosting the symposium “Aeropolitics: On contemporary forms of aerial power,” respectful, polite, collaborative, and constructive behavior is required. The organizers are committed to ensuring a harassmentfree experience. No form of harassment, including intimidation, stalking, and unwanted attention towards conference participants, will be tolerated, and any person, whether internal or external to the event, who violates these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference at the discretion of the organizers.Consequences and Sanctions
If one or more of the aforementioned behaviors or similar actions are enacted, the conference organizers reserve the right to take any measures they deem appropriate, including, initially, a warning and the removal of the offender from the conference, and subsequently, involving law enforcement authorities. It is noted that the organizers have appointed a security contact person responsible for managing unacceptable behaviors.
